Job Requirements
- 21+ years of age
- Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
- Possession or ability to possess all state required work cards
- Minimum three to five years of relevant restaurant operations experience
- At least one year in a management role at Assistant General Manager level or above
- High school diploma required
- Ability to work varied shifts including days, nights, weekends and holidays
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and POS systems
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to maintain composure and professionalism at all times
Job Qualifications
- High School Diploma required, Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Minimum three to five years of restaurant operations experience
- At least one year at Assistant General Manager level or higher
- Expert knowledge of restaurant operations including food, beverage, service techniques and guest interaction
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and POS systems
- Above average math skills including algebraic equations using percentage
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written in English
- Ability to lead by example
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Ability to work as part of a team and maintain personal integrity
Job Duties
- Maintain the highest standards of food and beverage quality, guest service, cost control, and consistency in accordance with TOM expectations
- Focus on succession management, training and development of all TOM employees
- Delegate responsibility to the management team as needed and enforce existing policy consistently
- Oversee and participate in the hiring, training, supervision, management, coaching, counseling, and evaluation of all members of the restaurant team
- Oversee the weekly schedule for both TOM staff and contracted staff
- Oversee payroll for the hourly and management staff, conduct pre-shift meetings, and assist team members with any inquiries
- Develop and implement operating standards, policies, and procedures to be followed by the management team
- Assign and instruct the employees and managers in the details of their work
- Observe performance and encourage improvement where necessary
- Operate with an open-door policy, listen to and understand requests of the team, respond with appropriate actions, and provide accurate information
- Remain calm and alert, especially during emergency situations and/or heavy restaurant activity, serving as a role model for the management team and other employees
- Ensure inventory levels are maintained for proper restaurant operations, enforce strict inventory controls, and participate in monthly inventory reconciliations
- Make decisions and take actions based on experience and good judgment
- Ensure no staff work if improperly dressed, groomed or sick
- Develop and implement cost-saving and profit-enhancing measures
- Maintain positive and professional relations with vendors
- Monitor guest satisfaction including social media platforms
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation requirements as per Department of Health, OSHA, and other agencies
