Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or GED
  • four years experience in guest services, front desk, housekeeping or related area
  • or two-year degree from an accredited university in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major
  • two years experience in guest services, front desk, housekeeping or related area
  • strong leadership skills
  • excellent communication skills
  • proficiency in financial management and budgeting
  • ability to maintain brand standards
  • knowledge of OSHA and safety regulations
  • experience in employee coaching and team development
  • ability to manage multiple departments simultaneously

Job Duties

  • support all aspects of the operation including guest and employee satisfaction
  • assist the General Manager in leading the team and implementing property-wide strategies
  • verify implementation of brand service strategy and initiatives
  • build relationships with key customers and participate in sales process
  • manage operations of all property departments
  • promote Guarantee of Fair Treatment and Open Door policies
  • ensure compliance with licensing, safety, and financial procedures
  • review financial statements and performance reports
  • perform annual quality audit with General Manager and Regional Director
  • remain approachable for employees and lead by example with professionalism and enthusiasm
  • assist with scheduling and staffing to exceed guest expectations
  • set clear performance expectations
  • coach and counsel team supervisors
  • solicit feedback for continuous improvement
  • extend professionalism and courtesy to guests
  • motivate staff to solve guest and employee concerns
  • provide proactive guest service
  • assist employees in understanding and exceeding guest needs
  • verify thorough orientation of new employees
  • ensure hiring practices comply with legal requirements
  • handle employee concerns proactively
  • perform other assigned duties as needed
