Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- at least 2 years experience as a full-service restaurant manager
- at least 1 year experience in staff scheduling and labor management
- current alcohol and food certification that meets state requirements or willingness to obtain certification
- ability to stand for long periods and lift 25-50 pounds
- flexibility to work late nights, weekends and holidays
- strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- ability to perform physical tasks including bending, stooping, twisting, and repetitive hand and wrist motions
- ability to work with hot, cold and hazardous equipment
- authorization to work in the United States
Job Qualifications
- At least 2 years experience in a full-service restaurant manager role
- at least 1 year experience scheduling and managing labor
- knowledge of computers including MS Word and Excel
- proficient in food planning, purchasing, sanitation, security, cost accounting, budget development, financial planning and strategy
- strong decision-making skills
- excellent communication skills
- ability to think like an owner and accept feedback
- passion for customer service and putting the guest first
Job Duties
- Responsible for hiring, training and retaining the best talent in the industry
- executes training and development of team members through orientations, ongoing feedback, and establishment of performance expectations
- conducts performance reviews regularly
- enforces policies and procedures and follows disciplinary action standards
- ensures legal and company standards are met and promptly addresses employee complaints
- ensures safety standards are communicated and followed each shift
- responsible for training team members in cleanliness and sanitation practices
- leads by example as a role model for great performance
- manages financial and administrative tasks including invoicing, reporting, and payroll duties accurately and on time
- schedules labor according to business needs while meeting labor cost objectives
- controls labor cost by scheduling and follow-up
- maintains operations by implementing policies, procedures and system improvements
- monitors and improves guest satisfaction by evaluating food, beverage and service offerings
- maintains safe and healthy facility by enforcing sanitation, health, legal regulations and security procedures
- ensures all food and products meet recipe, portioning and serving standards
- responsible for ordering products per specifications and receiving deliveries according to policy
- controls food and liquor cost through proper requisition, storage, standard recipes and waste control
- monitors food holding and refrigeration temperatures
