Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years progressive hotel management experience
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication abilities
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
- Proficiency in hotel management software
- Proven track record in revenue generation and cost control
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Physical ability to perform light lifting and inspections
- Willingness to participate in management coverage shifts
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of guest service and employee relations

Job Qualifications
- At least 5-6 years progressive experience in a hotel
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Ability to work long hours when required
- Maintain warm and friendly demeanor at all times
- Effective verbal and written communication skills with all employee levels and guests
- Skill in listening, understanding, and clarifying concerns
- Ability to multitask and prioritize departmental functions
- Approach all encounters in a friendly, courteous, and service-oriented manner
- Attend all required hotel meetings and training
- Participate in M.O.D. coverage as required
- Maintain regular attendance complying with hotel standards
- Uphold high personal appearance and grooming standards
- Comply with hotel standards and regulations for safe and efficient operations

- Effective problem handling including anticipation and prevention
- Ability to understand and evaluate complex data to meet objectives

- Able to perform light physical work lifting up to 20 pounds occasionally
Job Duties
- Play a pivotal role in hotel sales efforts including calling on top accounts, meeting clients, hosting luncheons and receptions, and meeting on-site contacts
- Tour operating departments daily and make necessary adjustments via department heads
- Conduct weekly staff meetings and training sessions reviewing sales and operations efforts
- Meet all financial review dates and corporate directed programs in a timely fashion
- Hold monthly financial reviews with department managers and supervisors
- Ensure department heads maintain budgeted productivity and accounting procedures
- Develop managers for future advancement through competency and corporate sponsored training programs
- Participate in required M.O.D. coverage as scheduled
- Maintain direct contact with and monitor development of management trainees
- Adhere to all hotel policies and train new managers on compliance
- Oversee and assist in hotel budget process as required
- Ensure training in service standards is conducted and compliant with hotel standards
- Assist in creating positive team-oriented environment focusing on guest through employee development
- Inspect rooms regularly with housekeeping and engineering managers
- Ensure complete processing of invoices daily
- Ensure financial documents are submitted timely
- Maintain cleanliness and maintenance of physical property
- Ensure employees interact attentively, friendly, and efficiently with guests and staff
- Forecast monthly financial position and reforecast as needed
- Conduct management interviews and hiring procedures
- Interview final candidates for management positions prior to offer
- Perform executive committee performance appraisals
- Motivate, coach, counsel and discipline management personnel
- Perform duties as requested by Vice President or Regional Director
- Ensure fair and equitable treatment of employees
- Meet clients on property and support sales efforts
- Be present in public areas during peak times greeting and assisting guests
- Ensure hotel safe procedures and audits are followed
- Conduct monthly credit meetings and participate in credit and collection policies
