Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in restaurant management or a related field
  • Ability to work all days of the week including weekends and holidays
  • Must have knowledge of health safety and alcohol regulations
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work standing for long periods
  • Excellent problem-solving and leadership skills
  • Effective communication skills

Job Duties

  • Promote work and act in a manner consistent with the mission of Big City Wings
  • Effectively delegate work manage timelines and meet deadlines
  • Ensure all restaurant policies procedures standards specifications guidelines and training programs are followed and completed on time
  • Monitor compliance with health and fire regulations regarding food preparation serving and building maintenance
  • Achieve company objectives in sales service quality appearance of facility sanitation and cleanliness through training of employees and creating a positive productive working environment
  • Monitor food preparation methods portion sizes garnishing and presentation to ensure food is prepared and presented acceptably
  • Ensure compliance with federal state county and municipal regulations pertaining to health safety alcohol sales and labor requirements
  • Control cash and other receipts by adhering to cash handling and reconciliation procedures
  • Count money and make bank deposits
  • Investigate and resolve complaints regarding food quality service or accommodations
  • Coordinate assignments of cooking personnel to ensure economical use of food and timely preparation
  • Ensure all products are received in correct unit count and condition and deliveries comply with restaurant policies
  • Review financial statements sales or activity reports and other performance data to measure productivity goal achievement or to identify cost reduction or program improvement areas
  • Schedule and receive food and beverage deliveries checking delivery contents to verify product quality and quantity
  • Monitor budgets payroll records and review financial transactions to ensure expenditures are authorized and budgeted
  • Maintain food and equipment inventories keeping inventory records
  • Schedule staff hours and assign duties
  • Establish standards for personnel performance and customer service
  • Perform some food preparation or service tasks such as cooking clearing tables and serving when necessary
  • Keep records required by government agencies regarding sanitation or food subsidies
  • Organize and direct worker training programs resolve personnel problems make hiring and termination decisions and evaluate employee performance
  • Administer prompt fair and consistent corrective action for violations of company policies rules and procedures
  • Order and purchase supplies
  • Review work procedures and operational problems to improve service performance or safety
  • Assess staffing needs and recruit staff
  • Arrange for equipment maintenance repairs and coordinate services such as waste removal and pest control
  • Track number type and cost of items sold to determine unpopular or less profitable items
  • Create the best game day atmosphere for special events
  • Attend all scheduled management meetings and offer suggestions for improvement
  • Coordinate with and assist fellow employees to meet guests needs and support restaurant operations
  • Fill-in for fellow employees to ensure guest service standards and efficient operations
  • Maintain communication with team and upper management via email text group message or verbally
  • Ensure food handler TABC and required paperwork are submitted and maintained digitally
  • Move tables chairs and highchairs regularly to accommodate guests needs
  • Carry trays from kitchen window to front counter dining room or parking lot as needed
  • Refill ice bins refill beverages clean restrooms bus tables and perform other restaurant functions as needed
  • Must typically be able to work in standing position for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds
