Job Requirements
- At least 6 years progressive experience in a hotel or a related field
- Or a 4-year college degree and 4 to 5 years of related experience
- Or a 2-year college degree and 5 to 6 years of related experience
- Must be able to communicate verbally and written with all levels of employees and guests
- Must be effective at listening to and clarifying concerns
- Must be able to multitask and prioritize functions to meet deadlines
- Must maintain regular attendance in compliance with scheduling needs
- Must maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming
- Must comply with PAH Management Standards and regulations
- Must be effective in handling problems including anticipating and solving
- Must be able to understand and evaluate complex information
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality of information
- Must have valid driver’s license for applicable state
- Long hours are sometimes required
- Ability to exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or 10 pounds frequently

Job Duties
- Oversees rooms division, food and beverage division as well as engineering discipline
- Oversees development of new programs that result in an increased level of guest satisfaction and operational excellence
- Receives and responds to guest complaints in a timely manner
- Ensure that daily inventory is managed to maximize all potential room revenue and ensure that budgeted room revenues are met
- Supervise the food and beverage department to include food preparation, food and beverage service so as to maintain established operational standards and maximize profits of the hotel
- Generate an atmosphere that provides security and safety for all internal and external guests
- Establish and maintain cost control systems for all rooms and food and beverage related inventories
- Participate in the development of short term and long term financial and operational plans for the hotel
- Supervise an ongoing maintenance program, which includes the internal and external areas of the hotel
- Monitor and maintain the property specific cleanliness guidelines in all areas of the property
- Ensure high associate morale by rewarding team members who meet or exceed guest expectations
- Oversee implementation and development of all training programs
- Maintain compliance with all local, state and federal laws and regulations, directly involved with all hiring and disciplinary decisions
- Ensure complete processing of invoices daily by using the A/P process
- Ensure monthly financial reporting compliance
- Forecast the hotel’s financial position by estimating revenues and line-by-line expenses
- Prepare and conduct management interviews and follow hiring procedures
- Conduct department manager performance appraisals
- Motivate, coach, counsel and discipline all personnel
- Perform duties as requested by senior management
- Ensure fair treatment of all employees in compliance with company policies
- Meet clients on the property to assist in sales efforts
- Be present in public areas during peak times to greet guests and offer assistance
- Ensure procedures for handling the hotel safe and monthly safe audits are followed
- Conduct monthly credit meetings and actively manage hotel credit and collection policies
- Ensure all scheduled meetings take place on the property
