Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years experience in hotel operations or similar role
- Proven leadership experience in managing teams
- Experience supporting sales efforts and business development
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to handle guest complaints and resolve conflicts efficiently
- Knowledge of hotel industry standards and compliance
- Availability to work weekends and holidays
- Understanding of budgeting and financial processes
- Proficiency with property management systems and related software
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in hospitality management or related field preferred
- Proven leadership and management experience in hotel operations
- Strong sales and negotiation skills particularly in group and negotiated business
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Demonstrated customer service excellence with a guest-first mindset
- Financial acumen including budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting
- Familiarity with hotel management software and operational systems
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively
- Problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
- Adaptability in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays
Job Duties
- Oversee daily hotel operations ensuring departments function efficiently and meet service standards
- Support sales team by prospecting and maintaining group and negotiated business
- Assist in hiring, training, and managing staff to ensure motivated team and exceptional guest experience
- Handle guest complaints and resolve issues to maintain high customer satisfaction
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, regulatory requirements and brand standards
- Collaborate with sales to promote the property and increase occupancy and revenue
- Act as General Manager in their absence making critical decisions and ensuring seamless operations
