Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in guest service or front desk roles required
  • Supervisory experience preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally
  • Capability to handle multiple tasks under pressure
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends, holidays, and overtime
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
  • Passing background check and pre-employment drug test

Job Qualifications

  • Previous guest service and front desk experience
  • Aptitude for supervisory responsibilities including performance appraisals, assigning tasks, motivating employees and encouraging employee development
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to prioritize and work with minimum supervision
  • Knowledge of Memphis and local attractions preferred
  • Organizational skills to prioritize wide variety of tasks
  • Ability to handle sensitive issues and maintain confidentiality
  • Hospitality field or equivalent work-related experience
  • Valid driver's license
  • Hotel operation experience and or equivalent education in hotel management or business administration
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Assist the Front Office Manager with assigning tasks and department shift coverage as needed
  • Field complaints and address guest concerns
  • Answer phone inquiries, direct calls and provide information
  • Oversee and supervise PBX, Front Desk, Guest Services, and Bell Person staff
  • Address complaints and requests with quality customer service skills
  • Train new employees
  • Monitor front desk and ensure that employees comply with all security procedures for guests and visitors
  • Create, organize, and maintain schedules for all employees in the department
  • Ensure front desk is always covered
  • Perform bookkeeping, reservations, and clerical duties
  • Fill in for night auditor and other front desk positions as needed
  • Other duties as assigned
