Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Two years experience in guest services, front desk, or related professional area
  • Or two-year degree from an accredited university in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication abilities
  • Ability to handle guest complaints and resolve conflicts
  • Experience with front office operations
  • Ability to work flexible hours
  • Proficiency in managing teams and day-to-day hotel front desk procedures

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Assists the Front Office Manager in administering front office functions
  • Supervises staff including Bell/Door Staff, Switchboard, and Guest Services/Front Desk
  • Directs and works with managers and employees to carry out efficient check-in and check-out processes
  • Ensures guest and employee satisfaction
  • Maximizes financial performance of the front office department
  • Manages day-to-day operations ensuring quality and standards
  • Handles complaints, resolves disputes, and negotiates conflicts
  • Develops goals and organizes work priorities
  • Collaborates on service improvement initiatives
  • Provides feedback and coaching to employees
  • Implements customer recognition and service programs
  • Ensures compliance with front office policies and credit procedures
  • Communicates information to supervisors, peers, and subordinates
  • Acts in place of Front Office Manager in their absence
  • Participates in department meetings and conveys critical information
