Job Requirements

  • Must be able to stand for long periods

  • Must be trained in emergency procedures and use of Automated External Defibrillator

Job Qualifications

  • Customer service and management experience
  • Three years hotel or relevant hospitality experience or hospitality degree from an accredited university
  • Marriott experience preferred
  • Knowledge of Opera or Lightspeed hotel management systems a plus
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written
  • Supervisory and performance management skills
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure
  • Knowledge of local and surrounding communities

Job Duties

  • Supervises the front office to ensure adherence to hotel procedures regulations and standards while striving toward guest satisfaction
  • Ensures smooth efficient and professional operation of all front office functions including check-in and check-out processes
  • Initiates and implements up-selling techniques to maximize room occupancy and revenue
  • Trains front office associates and concierges to deliver excellent service and maintain current product knowledge
  • Provides great customer service to all guests in a warm and friendly manner
  • Audits work for accuracy and consistency and maintains high standards through monitoring evaluations and corrective actions
  • Handles customer complaints credit card chargebacks and customer care cases skillfully
