Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum of three years hospitality or related experience
  • customer service and management experience required
  • ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • capable of standing for long periods
  • must have professional appearance and demeanor
  • ability to multitask and work under pressure
  • knowledge of hotel front desk procedures
  • experience with guest complaint resolution
  • basic accounting skills
  • trained or willing to be trained on safety and emergency procedures

  • knowledge of Opera or Lightspeed is a plus

Job Duties

  • Supervises the front office to ensure that Front Desk and Valet Staff adhere to all hotel procedures, regulations, and standards while striving toward total guest satisfaction
  • ensures smooth, efficient, and professional operation of all front office tasks including check-in and check-out using proper guest account handling
  • initiates and implements up-selling techniques to maximize room occupancy and overall revenue by promoting hotel services
  • trains Front Office Associates and Concierge on excellent customer service and knowledge of hotel offerings
  • audits work for accuracy and consistency and maintains high standards of performance through monitoring and corrective measures
  • enforces adherence to the company’s standards of dress and appearance
  • coordinates with General Manager to improve hotel curb appeal, lobby presentation, and guest arrival/departure experience
