Job Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent vocational training certificate
- Previous experience in cashiering
- 2 years experience as a Front Desk Supervisor preferably in a 5 star resort
- Fluency in English both verbal and non-verbal
- Compute basic arithmetic
- Familiarity with yield management and cost controls
- Ability to input and access information in PMS, computers and POS systems
- Frequent standing and walking
- Capacity to endure various physical movements and reach overhead
- Ability to remain stationary for extended periods
- Communicate effectively with guests and staff
- Load and unload luggage up to 60 pounds
- Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting, ladder climbing
- Maintain confidentiality of guest and resort data
- Follow directions thoroughly
- Prioritize and organize tasks
- Work cohesively with team
- Work with minimal supervision
- Ascertain and provide training needs
- Direct staff performance and implement corrections
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent vocational training
- Previous cashiering experience
- Minimum 2 years as Front Desk Supervisor preferably in a luxury resort
- Proficiency in English verbal and non-verbal communication
- Ability to compute basic arithmetic
- Familiarity with property management systems and yield management
- College degree (desirable)
- Fluency in second language, preferably Spanish (desirable)
- CPR certification (desirable)
- Previous supervisory and guest relations training (desirable)
- Ability to suggestively sell (desirable)
Job Duties
- Maintain knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies and service standards
- Assume role of Manager on Duty, addressing all resort operations and challenges
- Direct and supervise Front Desk, Bell, Valet, PBX, and Concierge staff
- Monitor guest relations and promptly resolve complaints ensuring satisfaction
- Oversee cashiering procedures including balancing banks, processing payments, and auditing discrepancies
- Conduct staff training, evaluations, and performance monitoring
- Maintain communication with all departments and manage shift handovers and documentation
