Job Requirements

  • Minimum one year in a supervisory or management front office position required
  • Previous management experience required
  • Able to collaborate effectively with other hotel employees and managers to ensure teamwork
  • High school diploma or GED required, bachelor degree preferred
  • Strong organizational skills

  • Strong computer systems skills including reservations and reporting systems
  • Strong Microsoft Office suite and reporting system skills

Job Duties

  • Assist in the development and implementation of business strategies for the hotel aligned with Choice Hotels mission and values
  • Develop and implement strategies for front office, bell stand, parking, concierge, etc. to support hotel goals
  • Monitor status regularly and adjust strategies as appropriate
  • Manage the operation of the front office and related areas
  • Create first impression by supervising door, bell stand, parking, concierge and front office areas
  • Develop and implement processes and procedures for assigned departments to support service and financial goals
  • Participate in preparation of annual budget and monitor achievement
  • Prepare and analyze reports for decision making and business communication
  • Analyze business forecasts and maximize productivity by adjusting schedules
  • Ensure front desk handles billing and cash according to hotel standards
  • Plan and coordinate hotel housing activities with Sales, Catering, Housekeeping and other departments
  • Ensure front office compliance with all hotel policies and procedures
  • Develop and implement strategies and practices that support employee engagement
  • Recruit and develop human resources to achieve hotel and Management Services goals
  • Oversee human resources management including recruitment, training, compensation, recognition and performance management
  • Take active role in recruitment and selection of qualified candidates
  • Communicate performance expectations and provide ongoing feedback
  • Provide coaching and counseling to employees to achieve objectives
  • Drive employee engagement through departmental action plans
  • Ensure 100% guest satisfaction by delivering Radisson Blu experience
  • Provide training and resources to maximize employee engagement and service quality
  • Communicate and reinforce customer service vision to all staff
  • Create environment that encourages service, hospitality and teamwork
  • Ensure all guest satisfaction guarantee requirements are met and understood
  • Develop customer feedback avenues and focus on identifying trends and solutions
  • Provide employees with tools, training and environment to deliver brand service
  • Perform other duties as required to provide guest satisfaction and hospitality
