Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1-2 years experience in hotel front desk or related hospitality role
- Proven leadership abilities
- Strong customer service orientation
- Basic knowledge of health and safety regulations
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Proficient in using hotel management software
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and lead by example

Job Duties
- Assist in maintaining guest service as the driving philosophy of the hotel
- Demonstrate commitment to guest services by responding promptly to guest needs
- Ensure all hotel staff are trained to meet guest service standards
- Develop added value customer service programs
- Act as manager on duty for hotel and assist in managing front desk operations
- Train front desk staff in all operational procedures
- Assist in scheduling, payroll, and progressive discipline for the department
- Ensure staff follow financial control procedures and produce accurate financial reports
- Maintain a positive, cooperative work environment between staff and management
- Emphasize employee selection, training and development
- Ensure compliance with local and federal laws regarding personnel files
- Administer personnel policies fairly and consistently
- Mentor and develop management talent among direct reports
- Monitor and maintain acceptable turnover levels
- Know and enforce local health and safety codes
- Recognize and correct potential safety hazards and security problems
- Follow hotel’s key control system policies
- Ensure staff participation in preventive maintenance programs
