Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of three years experience in guest services or related area
- OR two-year degree from accredited university in relevant field
- At least one year of related professional experience
- Ability to work full time in a management role
- Willingness to comply with company policies and procedures
- Ability to operate department equipment
- Effective communication skills
- Availability to work onsite at Sheraton Dallas Hotel
- Commitment to provide excellent guest service
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and responsibilities efficiently
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Three years experience in guest services, front desk, housekeeping, or related area
- OR two-year degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major
- One year experience in guest services, front desk, housekeeping, or related area
- Ability to understand functions of various department operations
- Knowledge of night audit and loss prevention procedures
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage schedules and employee attendance
- Experience with budget and revenue management
- Guest relations and complaint resolution experience
Job Duties
- Open and close Front Desk and Housekeeping shifts
- Ensure completion of assigned shift checklists and duties
- Run and review critical information in room operations reports
- Operate department equipment and report malfunctions
- Ensure employees have proper supplies and uniforms
- Understand and comply with night audit and loss prevention procedures
- Communicate performance expectations and handle employee questions
- Effectively schedule employees and track time and attendance
- Supervise same-day selling procedures to maximize revenue
- Verify room rate accuracy
- Assist in managing budgets, operating statements, and payroll reports
- Participate in controlling departmental expenses
- Assist in investigating employee and guest accidents
- Use guest information tracking systems to support guest recognition
- Set positive examples for guest relations
- Handle guest feedback and complaints
- Review comment cards and guest satisfaction results with employees
