Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Three years experience in the food and beverage, culinary, or related professional area
  • OR two-year degree from an accredited university in Food Service Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major
  • One year experience in the food and beverage, culinary, or related professional area
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple responsibilities
  • Strong interpersonal and team-building skills
  • Willingness to perform hourly functions as needed
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Availability to work on site at Gaylord Pacific Resort & Convention Center
  • Commitment to upholding brand standards and legal requirements

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Assist in the ordering of food and beverage supplies, cleaning supplies and uniforms
  • Supervise daily food and beverage shift operation and ensure compliance with all food and beverage policies, standards and procedures
  • Support and supervise an effective monthly self inspection program
  • Operate all department equipment as necessary and report malfunction
  • Supervise staffing levels to ensure guest service, operational needs, and financial objectives are met
  • Encourage and build mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members
  • Develop specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish your work
  • Celebrate and foster decisions that result in successes as well as failures
  • Communicate areas that need attention to staff and follow up to ensure understanding
  • Coordinate cleaning program in all food and beverage areas
  • Follow property-specific second effort and recovery plan
  • Stay readily available and approachable for all team members
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the brand specific service culture
  • Provide services that are above and beyond for customer satisfaction and retention
  • Serve as a role model to demonstrate appropriate behaviors
  • Manage day-to-day operations, ensuring the quality, standards and meeting the expectations of the customers on a daily basis
  • Take proactive approaches when dealing with guest concerns
  • Set a positive example for guest relations
  • Stay readily available and approachable for all guests
  • Review comment cards and guest satisfaction results with employees
  • Respond in a timely manner to customer service department requests
  • Provide information to supervisors and co-workers by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person
  • Analyze information and evaluate results to choose the best solution and solve problems
  • Perform hourly job functions if necessary
  • Extend professionalism and courtesy to team members at all times
  • Comprehend budgets, operating statements and payroll progress reports
