Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 3 years experience in food and beverage, culinary, or related professional area
- OR 2-year degree from accredited university in food service management, hotel and restaurant management, hospitality, business administration, or related major
- At least 1 year experience in food and beverage, culinary, or related professional area
- Ability to supervise daily operations
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to analyze financial documents and reports
- Willingness to perform hourly job functions when necessary
- Approachable and available to team members and guests
- Compliance with company policies and legal requirements
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED with 3 years experience in food and beverage, culinary, or related area
- OR 2-year degree from accredited university in food service management, hotel and restaurant management, hospitality, business administration, or related major with 1 year experience in food and beverage, culinary, or related area
- Proven leadership and supervisory skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage budgets and financial reports
- Knowledge of food and beverage operational standards and procedures
- Customer service oriented with problem-solving abilities
- Ability to coordinate cleaning and inspection programs
- Comfortable operating department equipment
- Proficient in staff scheduling and resource management
Job Duties
- Assists in the ordering of food and beverage supplies, cleaning supplies and uniforms
- Supervises daily food and beverage shift operation and ensures compliance with all policies, standards and procedures
- Supports and supervises an effective monthly self-inspection program
- Operates department equipment as necessary and reports malfunctions
- Supervises staffing levels to ensure guest service, operational needs, and financial objectives are met
- Encourages and builds mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members
- Develops specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish work
- Provides services that exceed customer satisfaction and retention
- Serves as a role model to demonstrate appropriate behaviors
- Manages day-to-day operations ensuring quality and standards meet customer expectations
- Takes proactive approaches when dealing with guest concerns
- Reviews comment cards and guest satisfaction results with employees
- Responds promptly to customer service department requests
- Coordinates cleaning programs identifying trends and making recommendations for improvements
- Comprehends budgets, operating statements and payroll progress reports
- Performs hourly job functions if necessary
- Communicates effectively with supervisors and co-workers by telephone, email, or in person
