Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • minimum three years of experience in food and beverage, culinary, or related fields
  • or two-year degree in a related major
  • at least one year of relevant experience if degree is held
  • availability for day and evening shifts
  • open availability
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to work full time
  • willingness to perform hourly job functions when necessary
  • knowledge of operational budgets and payroll
  • ability to operate department equipment
  • commitment to upholding safety and cleanliness standards

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • three years of experience in food and beverage, culinary, or related professional area
  • or two-year degree from an accredited university in Food Service Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major
  • one year of experience in food and beverage, culinary, or related professional area
  • experience in supervising daily operations
  • strong leadership and communication skills
  • ability to manage budgets and financial reports
  • knowledge of food and beverage policies, standards, and legal obligations
  • customer service orientation

  • ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

Job Duties

  • Assists in ordering food and beverage supplies, cleaning supplies, and uniforms
  • supervises daily food and beverage shift operation and ensures compliance with all food and beverage policies, standards, and procedures
  • supports and supervises an effective monthly self-inspection program
  • operates all department equipment as necessary and reports malfunction
  • supervises staffing levels to ensure guest service, operational needs, and financial objectives are met
  • encourages and builds mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members
  • develops specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish work
  • celebrates and fosters decisions that result in successes as well as failures
  • communicates areas that need attention to staff and follows up to ensure understanding
  • coordinates cleaning program in all food and beverage areas including general clean, identifying trends and making recommendations for improvements
  • follows property specific second effort and recovery plan
  • stays readily available and approachable for all team members
  • demonstrates knowledge of the brand specific service culture
  • provides services that are above and beyond for customer satisfaction and retention
  • serves as a role model to demonstrate appropriate behaviors
  • manages day-to-day operations ensuring quality, standards, and meeting customer expectations
  • takes proactive approaches when dealing with guest concerns
  • sets a positive example for guest relations
  • stays readily available and approachable for all guests
  • reviews comment cards and guest satisfaction results with employees
