Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 3 years experience in food and beverage, culinary, or related professional area
  • Or 2-year degree from accredited university in Food Service Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major
  • 1 year experience in food and beverage, culinary or related professional area
  • Ability to operate department equipment
  • Strong communication skills
  • Availability to work full-time
  • Management experience

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Degree in Food Service Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 1-3 years experience in food and beverage or culinary management
  • Strong leadership and team supervision skills
  • Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities
  • Knowledge of budgeting and financial reporting
  • Proficiency in managing daily operations and staff
  • Capability to uphold brand-specific service standards

Job Duties

  • Assist in ordering food and beverage supplies, cleaning supplies and uniforms
  • Supervise daily food and beverage shift operations and ensure compliance with policies, standards and procedures
  • Support and supervise monthly self inspection programs
  • Operate department equipment and report malfunctions
  • Supervise staffing levels to meet guest service, operational needs and financial objectives
  • Encourage and build mutual trust, respect and cooperation among team members
  • Develop specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize and accomplish work tasks
  • Celebrate and foster decisions that result in successes and failures
  • Communicate areas that need attention to staff and follow up to ensure understanding
  • Coordinate cleaning programs in all food and beverage areas, identify trends and recommend improvements
  • Follow property-specific second effort and recovery plans
  • Stay readily available and approachable for team members
  • Demonstrate knowledge of brand-specific service culture
  • Provide above and beyond services for customer satisfaction and retention
  • Serve as role model to demonstrate appropriate behaviors
  • Manage day-to-day operations to ensure quality, standards and customer expectations
  • Take proactive approaches when dealing with guest concerns
  • Set positive examples for guest relations
  • Stay readily available and approachable for guests
  • Review comment cards and guest satisfaction results with employees
  • Respond promptly to customer service department requests
  • Provide information to supervisors and co-workers verbally, written or via email
  • Analyze information and evaluate results to determine best solutions and solve problems
  • Perform hourly job functions if necessary
  • Extend professionalism and courtesy to team members
  • Understand budgets, operating statements and payroll progress reports
