Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • minimum three years experience in food and beverage culinary or related field
  • or associate degree in related field with at least one year experience
  • legal authorization to work in the United States
  • ability to work flexible hours including evenings weekends and holidays
  • strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • excellent customer service orientation
  • effective communication skills
  • physical ability to perform job functions
  • willingness to adhere to Marriott International policies and standards

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED with three years of experience in food and beverage culinary or related professional area
  • or two-year degree from an accredited university in Food Service Management Hotel and Restaurant Management Hospitality Business Administration or related major with one year experience in food and beverage culinary or related professional area

Job Duties

  • Assist in ordering food and beverage supplies cleaning supplies and uniforms
  • supervise daily food and beverage shift operations ensuring compliance with policies standards and procedures
  • support and supervise monthly self-inspection programs
  • operate department equipment and report malfunctions
  • supervise staffing levels to meet guest service operational needs and financial objectives
  • build mutual trust respect and cooperation among team members
  • develop plans to prioritize organize and accomplish work
  • celebrate decisions resulting in successes and failures
  • communicate areas needing attention and follow up to ensure understanding
  • coordinate cleaning programs in all food and beverage areas identifying trends and recommending improvements
  • follow property specific second effort and recovery plans
  • remain available and approachable for team members
  • demonstrate knowledge of brand specific service culture
  • provide services above and beyond for customer satisfaction and retention
  • act as a role model to demonstrate appropriate behaviors
  • manage daily operations ensuring quality standards and customer expectations
  • take proactive approaches to guest concerns

  • review comment cards and satisfaction results with employees
