Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 3 years experience in food and beverage, culinary or related professional area
  • or 2-year degree from accredited university in food service management, hotel and restaurant management, hospitality, business administration or related major
  • 1 year experience in food and beverage, culinary or related professional area
  • proven leadership skills
  • strong communication abilities
  • ability to manage operational budgets
  • knowledge of food and beverage policies and standards

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 3 years experience in food and beverage, culinary or related professional area
  • or 2-year degree from accredited university in food service management, hotel and restaurant management, hospitality, business administration or related major with 1 year experience in food and beverage, culinary or related professional area

Job Duties

  • Assists in ordering food and beverage supplies, cleaning supplies and uniforms
  • supervises daily food and beverage shift operation ensuring compliance with policies, standards and procedures
  • supports and supervises monthly self-inspection programs
  • operates department equipment as necessary and reports malfunctions
  • supervises staffing levels to meet guest service, operational needs and financial objectives
  • encourages mutual trust, respect and cooperation among team members
  • develops goals and plans to prioritize, organize and accomplish work
  • communicates areas needing attention to staff and follows up to ensure understanding
  • coordinates cleaning programs identifying trends and recommending improvements
  • stays readily available and approachable for team members
  • demonstrates knowledge of brand-specific service culture
  • provides services above and beyond for customer satisfaction and retention
  • serves as a role model demonstrating appropriate behaviors
  • manages daily operations ensuring quality and standards
  • takes proactive approaches to guest concerns
  • sets positive examples for guest relations
  • reviews comment cards and guest satisfaction results with employees
  • responds promptly to customer service requests
  • provides information to supervisors and co-workers via telephone, written form, email or in person
  • analyzes information and evaluates results to choose best solutions and solve problems
