Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 3 years experience in food and beverage, culinary, or related professional area
- OR 2-year degree from accredited university in Food Service Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major
- 1 year experience in food and beverage, culinary, or related professional area
- Ability to supervise and lead teams
- Strong communication skills
- Familiarity with budgeting and operational management
- Commitment to customer service excellence
- Availability for full-time schedule
- Ability to perform physical job tasks as necessary
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED with 3 years experience in food and beverage, culinary, or related professional area
- OR 2-year degree from accredited university in Food Service Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major with 1 year experience in the food and beverage, culinary, or related professional area
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Knowledge of food and beverage operations and standards
- Ability to manage budgets and financial reports
- Proficiency in customer service and guest relations
- Capability to operate department equipment and coordinate cleaning programs
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills
Job Duties
- Assist in the ordering of food and beverage supplies, cleaning supplies, and uniforms
- Supervise daily food and beverage shift operations ensuring compliance with policies, standards, and procedures
- Support and supervise an effective monthly self-inspection program
- Operate department equipment as necessary and report malfunctions
- Supervise staffing levels to meet guest service, operational needs, and financial objectives
- Encourage and build mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members
- Communicate areas needing attention to staff and ensure understanding
- Coordinate cleaning programs in all food and beverage areas, identify trends, and recommend improvements
- Follow property specific second effort and recovery plans
- Stay readily available and approachable for all team members and guests
- Provide services above and beyond for customer satisfaction and retention
- Serve as a role model demonstrating appropriate behaviors
- Manage day-to-day operations to ensure quality and customer expectations
- Take proactive approaches when dealing with guest concerns
- Review comment cards and guest satisfaction with employees
- Respond in a timely manner to customer service department requests
- Provide information to supervisors and coworkers via telephone, written form, email, or in person
- Analyze information and evaluate results to choose the best solutions
- Perform hourly job functions if necessary
- Extend professionalism and courtesy to team members at all times
- Comprehend budgets, operating statements, and payroll progress reports
