Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 3 years experience in food and beverage, culinary, or related professional area
  • OR 2-year degree from accredited university in Food Service Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major
  • 1 year experience in food and beverage, culinary, or related professional area
  • Ability to supervise and lead teams
  • Strong communication skills
  • Familiarity with budgeting and operational management
  • Commitment to customer service excellence
  • Availability for full-time schedule
  • Ability to perform physical job tasks as necessary

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED with 3 years experience in food and beverage, culinary, or related professional area
  • OR 2-year degree from accredited university in Food Service Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major with 1 year experience in the food and beverage, culinary, or related professional area
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Knowledge of food and beverage operations and standards
  • Ability to manage budgets and financial reports
  • Proficiency in customer service and guest relations
  • Capability to operate department equipment and coordinate cleaning programs
  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills

Job Duties

  • Assist in the ordering of food and beverage supplies, cleaning supplies, and uniforms
  • Supervise daily food and beverage shift operations ensuring compliance with policies, standards, and procedures
  • Support and supervise an effective monthly self-inspection program
  • Operate department equipment as necessary and report malfunctions
  • Supervise staffing levels to meet guest service, operational needs, and financial objectives
  • Encourage and build mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members
  • Communicate areas needing attention to staff and ensure understanding
  • Coordinate cleaning programs in all food and beverage areas, identify trends, and recommend improvements
  • Follow property specific second effort and recovery plans
  • Stay readily available and approachable for all team members and guests
  • Provide services above and beyond for customer satisfaction and retention
  • Serve as a role model demonstrating appropriate behaviors
  • Manage day-to-day operations to ensure quality and customer expectations
  • Take proactive approaches when dealing with guest concerns
  • Review comment cards and guest satisfaction with employees
  • Respond in a timely manner to customer service department requests
  • Provide information to supervisors and coworkers via telephone, written form, email, or in person
  • Analyze information and evaluate results to choose the best solutions
  • Perform hourly job functions if necessary
  • Extend professionalism and courtesy to team members at all times
  • Comprehend budgets, operating statements, and payroll progress reports
