Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or GED
  • three years experience in food and beverage, culinary, or related professional area
  • or two-year degree from an accredited university in food service management, hotel and restaurant management, hospitality, business administration, or related major
  • one year experience in food and beverage, culinary, or related professional area
  • strong leadership skills

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • assist in ordering food and beverage supplies, cleaning supplies, and uniforms
  • supervise daily food and beverage shift operations and ensure compliance with policies, standards, and procedures
  • support and supervise monthly self-inspection programs
  • operate department equipment and report malfunctions
  • supervise staffing levels to meet guest service, operational needs, and financial objectives
  • encourage mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members
  • develop goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish work
  • celebrate successes and learn from failures
  • communicate areas needing attention to staff and ensure understanding
  • coordinate cleaning programs in all food and beverage areas and recommend improvements
  • follow property-specific second effort and recovery plan
  • stay readily available and approachable for team members
  • demonstrate knowledge of brand-specific service culture
  • provide services above and beyond for customer satisfaction and retention
  • serve as a role model to demonstrate appropriate behaviors
  • manage day-to-day operations ensuring quality and standards
