Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • three years experience in food and beverage, culinary, or related professional area
  • or two-year degree from accredited university in Food Service Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major
  • one year experience in food and beverage, culinary, or related professional area
  • ability to supervise staff and manage operations
  • excellent communication skills
  • knowledge of brand-specific service culture
  • capability to handle customer service demands
  • ability to analyze information and solve problems
  • flexibility to perform hourly job functions when necessary
  • understanding of budgets, operating statements, and payroll progress reports

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED with three years experience in food and beverage, culinary, or related professional area
  • or two-year degree from an accredited university in Food Service Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major with one year experience in aforementioned fields

Job Duties

  • Assist in ordering food and beverage supplies, cleaning supplies, and uniforms
  • supervise daily food and beverage shift operations ensuring compliance with policies and procedures
  • support and supervise monthly self-inspection programs
  • operate all department equipment as necessary and report malfunctions
  • supervise staffing levels to meet guest service, operational needs, and financial objectives
  • encourage and build mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members
  • develop goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish work
  • celebrate and foster decisions that result in successes and failures
  • communicate areas needing attention to staff and follow up to ensure understanding
  • coordinate cleaning programs in all food and beverage areas identifying trends and recommending improvements
  • follow property-specific second effort and recovery plan
  • stay readily available and approachable for all team members
  • demonstrate knowledge of brand-specific service culture
  • provide services above and beyond for customer satisfaction and retention
  • serve as a role model demonstrating appropriate behaviors
  • manage day-to-day operations ensuring quality and standards meet customer expectations
  • take proactive approaches to guest concerns
  • set a positive example for guest relations
  • stay readily available and approachable for guests
  • review comment cards and guest satisfaction results with employees
