Job Requirements
- Previous experience in leadership in food and beverage industry
- Strong communication skills
- Computer literacy with business and industry software
- Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
- Knowledge of POS and reservation systems
- Proven budget management skills
- Degree or equivalent experience preferred
- Experience in upscale hotel environment preferred
Job Qualifications
- Previous leadership experience in a fast-paced, high-end food and beverage environment
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient with standard business software and quick to learn new industry software
- Ability to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy
- Ability to prioritize and organize multiple important, time-sensitive tasks
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Working knowledge of Micros POS, OpenTable, and Microsoft Office
- Proven track record of meeting operating budgets and managing labor and cost of goods
- Degree in Hotel and Restaurant Administration or equivalent experience preferred
- Previous experience as a bar manager in an upscale hotel preferred
- Expert knowledge of Micros POS and OpenTable preferred
Job Duties
- Execute floor shifts throughout all food and beverage outlets in hotel
- Assist the Food and Beverage Director or Manager in developing operating budgets for each beverage outlet and monitor budget goals
- Plan and implement cost control measures for beverage, labor, and other operating expenses
- Inspect and ensure all safety, sanitation, and maintenance standards are met
- Help plan and approve staffing, scheduling, and job descriptions for beverage positions
- Interview and approve hires in the beverage department
- Ensure compliance with all legal requirements regarding alcoholic beverages and food safety
- Develop and implement policies and procedures for beverage outlets
- Monitor purchasing and receiving processes for quality and price
- Develop wine lists and promotional sales programs
- Design cocktail programs with signature drinks
- Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of beverage equipment and facilities
- Monitor employee dress codes
- Audit and approve weekly payroll
- Coordinate and approve beverage invoices
- Develop marketing and sales promotions for the beverage department
- Develop banquet beverage programs
- Conduct weekly and monthly inventory
- Oversee lounge bar as manager on duty
- Fill in for other department managers as needed
- Participate in industry and community organizations
- Assist other properties in standardizing procedures as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
