Job Requirements
- Professional demeanor appropriate for a resort environment
- minimum 2 years experience in a leadership role in a food and beverage environment
- constant interactions and fulfilling the requests of guests
- must be able to handle a multitude of tasks in an ever-changing environment with a sense of alertness
- must possess outstanding guest services and communication skills
- a ServSafe certification must be completed within the first 90 days of employment
- TIPS certification must be completed within the first 90 days of employment
- ability to operate a motor vehicle
- ability to work flexible schedules including holidays and weekends
- knowledge of proper chemical handling, cleaning techniques and use of equipment
- able to work in a fast-paced environment and physically fit to lift, pull and push items up to 50 pounds
- requires standing, walking, reaching and bending throughout shift
Job Qualifications
- Two-year degree from an accredited college or university in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration or related major
- minimum two years experience in a food and beverage position
- strong food, wine and liquor knowledge
- ability to communicate in English
- proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- excellent organizational, interpersonal, and administrative skills
Job Duties
- Understand expectations and parameters for the food and beverage activities
- assist in managing daily operations of restaurants, bars, banquets, and room service
- manage and communicate details both verbally and in writing to guests and hotel operations
- manage beverage purchasing, beverage menu designing, marketing new products and VIP guest requests
- ensure high standards of guest service and promptly address guest concerns or feedback
- manage all front of house positions, including scheduling, developing and coaching associates, motivating the team and driving sales
- maintain safety by adhering to stated safety policies and handling guest and associate accidents
