Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • relevant experience in food and beverage management or hospitality
  • ability to lead and supervise food and beverage staff
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays
  • ability to perform physical tasks including bending, lifting, standing for long periods
  • ability to work indoors and outdoors
  • professional appearance
  • alcohol awareness certification preferred

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • completion or current pursuit of a degree in hospitality management or a related field is preferred
  • ability to perform assigned duties with attention to detail, speed, accuracy, follow-through, courtesy, cooperativeness, strong communication skills, and work with a minimum of supervision
  • must present a neat and professional appearance
  • alcohol awareness certification a plus
  • work requires interactions with members, the public, and co-workers
  • must be flexible to work shifts: days, evenings, weekends, holidays

Job Duties

  • Serves as liaison between service personnel and the club's management team
  • supervises daily shifts keeping senior leadership informed of teammate accomplishments and both teammate and member infractions via written communication
  • performs walkthrough prior-to, upon close of, and throughout meal service times to ensure that club areas are cleaned and member-ready
  • ensures the correct setup, breakdown and reset of dining outlet/banquet spaces and food & drink service areas
  • ensures team is setup for success by verifying service areas are stocked and maintained with all supplies needed for shift
  • ensures equipment/service area is cleaned as indicated by side work sheet at beginning and end of shift and informs senior leadership of necessary repairs as they occur
  • ensures scheduled staff is present, knowledgeable of that day's duties, and is performing their duties in accordance with established standards
  • oversees and leads team to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of F&B department ensuring that the team adheres to company policies
  • monitors and supervises staff by maintaining a visible floor presence and assists co-workers with member service
  • trains and supervises food and beverage staff
  • assures the effective orientation and training for new staff and develops ongoing training programs for the existing staff in maintaining the highest standards
  • holds pre-shift / pre-function line up with staff to ensure smooth, efficient service
  • checks out servers at the end of their shift ensuring all closing side work / resets are complete, settlement reports are in order, and data is accurately entered into End-of-Day report
  • researches and communicates trends, inventory needs, and makes recommendations according to feedback
  • takes a proactive approach in achieving departmental goals: revenue, payroll, promotional, and others as assigned by the Director of Food & Beverage
  • constantly seeks opportunities to support team members by assisting with the training and development of both new and existing employees
  • opens/closes clubhouse and is responsible for securing property
  • adheres to and enforces uniform standards while on property
  • assists in monthly inventory
  • assists in ancillary outlets with responsibilities specific to the area based on business needs (banquets, training & development, a la carte, beverage, men's grille, reception)
  • handles employee concerns, promotes a positive work environment, and promotes a positive team atmosphere with all management and staff
  • conducts employee reviews and administers disciplinary action needed, per company policy
  • completes other duties as assigned
