Job Requirements

  • availability to work flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
  • ilinois basset certification required
  • serv safe manager food handlers certificate required
  • ability to read interpret and write routine reports and correspondence
  • ability to speak effectively before groups
  • ability to interpret written oral diagram or schedule instructions
  • ability to stand walk use hands finger handle or feel objects tools or controls for 8 to 10 hour shifts
  • ability to stoop kneel crouch crawl talk and hear
  • ability to sit reach with hands and arms
  • occasionally required to climb or balance

Job Qualifications

  • bachelor of science degree in hotel restaurant management desirable
  • 1-3 years management experience in high volume setting
  • 1-2 years managing coffee smoothie program preferred
  • guest oriented and service minded
  • excellent communication and organizational skills
  • exceptional interpersonal and problem solving abilities
  • moderate computer skills including ms office
  • ability to lead by example and work as a team
  • previous silverware and resy experience an asset
  • highly responsible and reliable

Job Duties

  • manage staff recruitment retention training and employee morale
  • cultivate collaborative professional relationships with employees
  • maintain superior service levels and ongoing education
  • create and implement weekly staff schedules
  • delegate tasks and supervise safety and cleanliness
  • accommodate staff and guest requests
  • train employees on front of house actions and attitudes
  • assist with employee evaluations
  • organize and execute large parties and events with event planner
  • oversee maintenance of dining areas kitchen smoothie counter pool and snack shop
  • monitor and audit food and beverage offerings
  • assist in budgeting inventory accounting payroll and financial matters
  • monitor sales and ensure revenue goals
  • maintain labor costs within budgetary guidelines
  • supervise dining room and common spaces for quality
  • respond to membership event requests
  • interact with members to ensure satisfaction and enjoyment
  • utilize guest feedback to improve service
  • respond to membership complaints and inquiries promptly
