Job Requirements
- Minimum 1-3 years experience in restaurant supervisory or management role
- High school diploma required
- Excellent oral and written communication
- Strong organizational skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Familiarity with food and beverage cost controls
- Ability to motivate restaurant staff
- Must be physically able to endure abundant movement
- Must be able to suggestively sell menu items and beverages
Job Qualifications
- Minimum 1-3 years experience in restaurant supervisory or management role
- High school diploma required, college degree strongly preferred
- Experience in a union environment highly preferred
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Familiarity with food and beverage cost controls
- Ability to motivate and lead restaurant staff
- Ability to suggestively sell menu items, beverages, and wines
- Physical stamina to endure extensive movement during work
Job Duties
- Assist in coordinating, planning, preparing, and executing food and beverage services to meet brand standards
- Follow up on guest feedback to resolve issues
- Assist in hiring, training, promotion, and termination of restaurant employees
- Ensure compliance with Sonesta safety, sanitation standards, and local liquor and food regulations
- Work closely with chefs to coordinate menus and educate the team
- Monitor dining areas for cleanliness and proper setup
- Perform floor supervision to ensure flawless service and handle complaints
- Complete closing duties before staff sign out
- Conduct scheduled inventories and manage labor scheduling
- Lead pre-shift staff meetings and assist in performance evaluations
- Coach and motivate team members to improve skills and performance
- Foster open, collaborative team relationships
- Inspire and lead the team in living Sonesta's core values and service standards
- Utilize resources from across departments and corporate offices
- Maintain personal grooming and professional appearance
- Perform additional duties assigned by management
