Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • previous restaurant manager experience
  • current or ability to obtain valid Food Handlers and TABC certifications
  • availability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • physical ability to stand, walk, and perform manual tasks for entire shifts
  • ability to handle moderately heavy objects
  • experience working in hospitality or restaurant environments
  • knowledge of safety and sanitation standards
  • excellent communication skills
  • problem-solving capabilities
  • strong organizational skills
  • ability to lead and supervise a team effectively

Job Qualifications

  • previous restaurant manager experience required
  • flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • understanding of financial statements and labor productivity
  • possession of unexpired Food Handlers and TABC certification or ability to obtain upon hire
  • ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place moderately weighted objects
  • willingness to work in various resort locations including hotel interior, dining room, and kitchen
  • exposure to cleaning chemicals, food items, and beverages

Job Duties

  • consistently ensure maximum guest satisfaction while dining in the restaurant
  • conduct pre-meal meetings with service staff daily
  • supervise floor operations during service periods
  • ensure service personnel follow protocol including steps of service
  • handle guest complaints to their satisfaction
  • prepare weekly staff schedules
  • ensure kitchen, stewarding, and cashier staff are on duty as scheduled
  • ensure side-stations are fully stocked with necessary equipment
  • maintain proper functioning of beverage machines
  • oversee station rotation in seating
  • assist in seating or serving guests as necessary
  • monitor productivity of service staff
  • monitor quality and consistency of food products
  • ensure accuracy of special boards and descriptions
  • recognize and engage repeat guests
  • review reservations daily and check VIP lists
  • address special attention details promptly
  • maintain restaurant cleanliness and atmosphere
  • enforce staff uniform and appearance standards
  • inspect tabletops, side-stations, and tray stands during service
  • ensure all equipment is clean and in good condition
  • adjust lights and music appropriately for meal periods
  • perform positive up-selling techniques
  • know and assist with beverage-related procedures and equipment
  • adhere to company policies and procedures
  • understand and enforce emergency and liquor liability procedures
  • perform other duties assigned by management
