Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous restaurant management experience
  • valid food handlers certification or willingness to obtain
  • ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • physical ability to stand and walk for long periods
  • ability to lift and carry moderate weight
  • knowledge of service protocols and safety regulations
  • excellent communication and leadership skills
  • ability to handle guest complaints professionally
  • knowledge of liquor laws and emergency procedures

Job Qualifications

  • Previous restaurant manager experience required
  • flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • understanding of financial statements and labor productivity
  • food handlers and TABC certification or ability to obtain upon hire
  • ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects of moderate weight without assistance
  • experience working in hotel interiors, dining rooms, and restaurant kitchens
  • familiarity with cleaning chemicals and exposure to food items and beverages

Job Duties

  • Consistently ensure maximum guest satisfaction while dining in the restaurant
  • conduct pre-meal meetings with service staff daily
  • supervise floor operations during service
  • ensure service personnel follow protocol including steps of service
  • handle guest complaints to satisfaction
  • create and manage staff weekly schedules
  • ensure kitchen, stewarding, and cashier staff are on duty as scheduled
  • ensure side-stations are fully stocked with equipment
  • ensure beverage machines are functioning properly
  • manage station rotation in seating
  • assist in seating or service of guests as necessary
  • monitor productivity of service staff
  • monitor the quality and consistency of food product
  • ensure special boards and descriptions are posted accurately
  • recognize repeat and VIP guests
  • review reservations daily and check against VIP list
  • manage special attention details properly
  • maintain cleanliness and physical atmosphere of the restaurant
  • ensure staff uniforms and appearances meet specifications
  • inspect tabletops, side-stations, and tray stands constantly
  • ensure all equipment is in good condition and clean
  • adjust lights and music appropriately for each meal period
  • perform positive up-selling techniques with staff
  • be familiar with beverage-related procedures and assist cashier as needed
  • adhere to all company policies and procedures
  • know emergency procedures and work to prevent accidents
  • enforce policies related to liquor liability laws
  • perform other duties as assigned by management
