Job Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of progressive experience in hotel or related field
  • 4-year college degree or 2-year college degree with 1 or more years of related experience
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds occasionally and 20 pounds frequently
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Effective listening and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize
  • Friendly and courteous attitude
  • Willingness to work long and varied hours
  • Attendance at all required meetings and trainings

Job Duties

  • Be attentive, friendly, helpful, and courteous to guests, managers, and employees at all times
  • Oversee all aspects of daily outlet operations
  • Supervise outlet personnel
  • Respond to guest complaints promptly
  • Coordinate and communicate issues with other F&B managers
  • Keep immediate supervisor informed of problems or attention-required matters
  • Assist in loss prevention efforts within the outlet
  • Prepare and submit required reports such as wage progress, payroll, revenue, schedules, and quarterly action plans
  • Monitor quality of service in the F&B outlet
  • Assist with menu planning and preparation
  • Ensure compliance with local liquor laws, health, sanitation regulations, SOPs, and requisition procedures
  • Remain visible on the floor and assist staff during meal periods
  • Conduct staff performance reviews according to Highgate standards
  • Train employees on SOPs and job tasks
  • Participate in departmental and hotel training programs
  • Interview candidates for F&B front-of-house positions and manage hiring approvals
  • Support F&B Manager in banquet execution
  • Complete tip reporting
  • Implement and monitor corporate promotions and buffet or three-meal concepts as applicable
  • Ensure overall guest satisfaction
