Job Requirements

  • must have high school diploma or equivalent
  • at least 2 years of experience in a high-volume kitchen area
  • must be able to work long flexible hours including late nights, weekends and holidays
  • physical ability to stand, sit, use hands to handle and feel objects, reach with hands and arms
  • ability to lift and or move up to 50 pounds
  • specific vision abilities including close vision and distance vision
  • noise level in work environment is usually loud
  • practice safe work habits and follow all safety policies and procedures
  • complete company-wide safety training and job-specific safety training
  • encourage team to follow safety policies
  • report all safety incidents on the same day
  • able to work flexible and extended hours due to business demands

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum 2 years experience in a high-volume kitchen area

Job Duties

  • Report directly to Executive Steward
  • oversee all stewarding staff and maintain order
  • ensure detail-oriented execution of duties
  • work independently or collaborate within team
  • communicate effectively verbally and in writing
  • supervise cleaning and storage of all restaurant wares and major equipment
  • execute stewarding and dish duties
  • inspect kitchens, workrooms, and equipment for cleanliness and order
  • direct efficient cleaning of all areas including walls and floors
  • ensure employee and guest safety and security
  • maintain strict confidentiality of food and beverage operations
  • handle chemical usage, dishwasher operation, and trash compactor use
  • work flexible hours and manage high-pressure situations
  • provide excellent customer service
  • act with honesty and encourage direct communication
  • build positive relationships within and outside the organization
  • adapt quickly to changing trends and circumstances
  • plan and execute resourceful workflow and multitasking
  • manage people and resources to complete projects
