Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED or 2-year degree from an accredited university in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major
- Minimum 2 years experience in food and beverage, culinary, guest services, front desk, housekeeping, or related professional area
- If no formal education, at least 3 years of experience in two hospitality areas including food and beverage, culinary, guest services, front desk, or housekeeping
- Ability to lead a team and manage daily shift operations
- Excellent customer service skills
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- Willingness to work full-time at the hotel location in Long Beach, California
Job Qualifications

- At least 2 years experience in food and beverage, culinary, guest services, front desk, housekeeping, or related professional area
- Experience running a shift, scheduling, performance management, problem solving, day-to-day operations, hospitality skills

- Knowledge of OSHA regulations
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to handle guest complaints effectively
- Experience with inventory management and event coordination
Job Duties
- Communicates service needs to chefs and stewards throughout functions
- Totals charges for group functions and prepares and presents checks to group contacts for payment
- Verifies banquet rooms, restaurants, and coffee breaks are ready for service
- Checks cleanliness and presentation of china, glass, and silver before use
- Sets tables according to event type and service standards
- Leads shift teams and coordinates daily meetings
- Handles guest feedback and resolves complaints
- Manages inventory and orders supplies
- Schedules banquet and event service staff
- Supports compliance with brand standards and legal obligations
- Assists with financial and administrative duties
- Conducts room function inspections prior to events
- Works with event planning and technology teams to ensure flawless delivery
- Coaches and mentors staff
- Participates in hiring and training activities
- Maintains attendance logs and departmental records
- Controls banquet beverage inventory
- Practices brand-specific meeting services programs
- Ensures OSHA regulations are followed
- Promotes teamwork, motivation, and continuous improvement
- Participates in corrective action plans
