Job Requirements

- 2 years’ event management or related experience
- OR 2-year degree from accredited university in hotel and restaurant management, hospitality, business administration, or related major

Job Duties
- prepare all event documentation
- coordinate with sales, property departments, and customer to ensure high level service
- handle less complex property events
- act as liaison between field sales and customer throughout event phases
- greet customers during events and hand off to event operations
- verify hourly associates understand event expectations
- adhere to standards, policies, and procedures
- verify billing accuracy and conduct bill reviews
- participate in customer meetings
- monitor group room blocks and meeting spaces
- encourage associates to provide excellent customer service
- set a positive example for guest relations
- communicate event details verbally and in writing
- make presence known to customer during events
- oversee customer experience through event lifecycle
- follow-up with customer post-event
- respond to and handle guest problems and complaints
- participate in meetings related to events
- alert supervisor to operational challenges and collaborate on solutions
- emphasize guest satisfaction and continuous improvement
- review comment cards and guest satisfaction results
- interact with guests to obtain feedback
- solicit feedback from property departments
- participate in pre- and post-event meetings
- assist with sales process
- up-sell products and services
- forecast group room and event revenue
- perform other duties as assigned
