Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience in engineering or maintenance within the hospitality industry
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
- Strong mechanical, electrical and plumbing skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lead and supervise a team effectively
Job Qualifications
- Must be able to read and interpret documents including blueprints, schematics, procedure manuals, OSHA standards such as LockOut/TagOut, MSDS
- Possess the individual ability to troubleshoot, repair and/or maintain physical building including all FF&E, A/C and refrigeration equipment, electrical systems, mechanical equipment such as motors, starters, pumps, fans
- Plumbing and drains
- Pneumatic and electronic systems and controls
- Fire alarm and life safety equipment
- Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Analytical skills to assess and identify problems and implement solutions
- Must be able to safely use hand and power tools
- Must be able to work any of the three shifts as needed
Job Duties
- Provide daily condition and work progress report to the chief engineer
- Supervise, direct and inspect the engineers on a daily basis to ensure their work productivity and quality meets standards and deadlines
- Responsible for coordination and roll-out of projects as directed
- Interact as needed with guests, contractors, vendors
- Knowledge of brand standard, service standard, SALT and meet expectations
- Perform all assigned day-to-day maintenance and preventative maintenance projects as assigned
- Assist fellow engineers with their assigned tasks to include troubleshooting, regular maintenance and repairs
- Conduct regular inspections via walk-throughs of public areas, back of the house areas, guest rooms and exterior areas
