Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Six years of progressive management experience
  • Prior experience in facilities management
  • Direct supervision of full-time staff
  • Class C Driver License
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions
  • Ability to communicate orally and in writing
  • Ability to climb stairs, use video display terminal
  • Ability to lift objects up to 50 pounds
  • Availability for occasional night and weekend work
  • Background check clearance

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Six years of progressive management experience
  • Experience in facilities management and supervision of full-time staff
  • Proven leadership in managing people, operations, and vendor relationships
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Experience developing policies, procedures, and operational guidelines
  • Preferred administrative experience in residence life
  • Master's degree from an accredited institution
  • Budget development and fiscal management experience
  • Renovation and construction management experience
  • Knowledge of facilities operations and space management
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with campus and external partners

Job Duties

  • Assist the Associate Director in oversight of residence life buildings and spaces
  • Manage day-to-day operational duties and responsibilities for operations and events
  • Supervise full-time and part-time staff members
  • Submit work requests and conduct space and furniture inspections
  • Oversee fire-life-safety systems
  • Collaborate with custodial, maintenance, and facilities teams
  • Assist with summer renovation and construction projects
  • Respond to after-hour facility emergencies
  • Assume responsibility for the operations and events office in the absence of the Associate Director
