Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2 years experience in housekeeping or related professional area
  • Or 2-year degree from accredited university in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major
  • Ability to manage housekeeping operations and staff
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Proficiency in scheduling and inventory management
  • Commitment to delivering exceptional guest service
  • Ability to handle employee relations and disciplinary procedures
  • Flexibility to work full-time schedule
  • Willingness to actively engage in department meetings and training

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED with 2 years experience in housekeeping or related area
  • Or 2-year degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration or related field
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Experience in training and developing staff

Job Duties

  • Review staffing levels to meet guest service and operational needs
  • Assign room cleaning and manage check-out preparations
  • Inventory housekeeping supplies and ensure adequate stock
  • Supervise inspection programs for guestrooms and public spaces
  • Manage housekeeping operations to meet financial goals
  • Ensure employees have proper supplies, equipment and uniforms
  • Communicate with staff to address needs and follow up
  • Supervise daily housekeeping shift operations and enforce policies
  • Participate in departmental meetings to align team goals
  • Train new room attendants and provide ongoing training
  • Maintain open, collaborative employee relations
  • Schedule employees according to business demand and track attendance
  • Ensure employees understand policies and expectations
  • Administer disciplinary procedures fairly and consistently
  • Observe service behavior and provide feedback
  • Recognize employee contributions on all shifts
  • Encourage employee feedback and address concerns
  • Participate in employee hiring and interviews
  • Set a positive example for guest relations
  • Develop and implement plans to improve guest satisfaction
  • Empower employees to deliver excellent customer service
  • Emphasize guest satisfaction in meetings and focus on improvement
  • Respond promptly to guest complaints and issues
