Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 4 years experience in security or loss prevention
  • or 2-year degree from an accredited university in Criminal Justice or related major
  • 2 years experience in security or loss prevention
  • ability to maintain logs and certifications
  • competency in emergency procedure training
  • strong supervisory and leadership skills
  • capability to manage investigations and documentation
  • knowledge of OSHA and safety regulations
  • ability to handle guest complaints and disputes
  • certification in first aid and CPR
  • effective communication and interpersonal skills

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED with 4 years of experience in security or loss prevention
  • or 2-year degree in Criminal Justice or related field with 2 years of relevant experience
  • experience in managing security or loss prevention operations

  • ability to develop and implement emergency and safety procedures
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • proficiency in documenting and reporting incidents
  • experience in conflict resolution and customer service
  • knowledge of OSHA regulations and claims management
  • certification or ability to be certified in first aid and CPR
  • skills in training and mentoring staff
  • ability to analyze situations and make sound decisions

Job Duties

  • Assist in the development and implementation of emergency procedures
  • collaborate with the Director of Loss Prevention to improve departmental performance
  • comply with policies on investigative procedures for property asset loss
  • maintain proper documentation of property patrols
  • handle complaints, disputes, and grievances effectively
  • implement action plans to monitor and control risk
  • report procedural violations to management
  • strive to improve service performance
  • supervise security staff to protect property assets
  • perform duties of the Director of Loss Prevention during their absence
  • assist in establishing guidelines and training for employees
  • recognize and celebrate team member contributions
  • communicate critical information to Loss Prevention officers
  • enforce safety procedures and ensure employee understanding
  • build trust and cooperation among team members
  • provide medical assistance when needed
  • identify training needs and mentor staff
  • provide guidance and set performance standards
  • offer personal care and emotional support to others
