Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Four years experience in security, loss prevention, or related professional area
  • OR two-year degree from an accredited university in Criminal Justice or related major
  • Two years experience in security, loss prevention, or related professional area
  • Ability to conduct hazard and risk assessments
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Knowledge of OSHA and safety regulations
  • Experience managing emergency preparedness and fire prevention
  • Ability to maintain logs and legal documentation
  • Proficient in security equipment monitoring
  • Customer service orientation
  • Capability to resolve conflict and negotiate effectively
  • Available to work full time at the Miami Beach location

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED with 4 years of experience in security, loss prevention, or related field
  • OR 2-year degree in Criminal Justice or related major with 2 years of relevant experience
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and OSHA standards
  • Experience in emergency preparedness and fire prevention
  • Ability to conduct hazard assessments and audits
  • Proficiency in security system operations, including CCTV and alarm systems
  • Excellent conflict resolution and communication skills
  • Ability to develop training programs and lead teams
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities

Job Duties

  • Manage daily functions of the Loss Prevention department to protect property assets, employees, and guests
  • Maintain required logs, certifications, and legal documentation
  • Train staff on established emergency, accident, and fire prevention procedures
  • Conduct hazard and risk assessments, including OSHA audits and incident tracking
  • Develop and enforce property shutdown and key control procedures
  • Perform monthly checklists and inspections of security equipment like CCTV and alarms
  • Monitor and respond to unusual activities affecting guest and employee safety
  • Handle complaints, resolve disputes, and negotiate conflicts
  • Oversee patrol processes, emergency response, investigations, and shipping/receiving security
  • Lead the Accident Prevention Committee and first aid programs
  • Monitor general liability and worker's compensation claims
  • Communicate safety procedures and ensure staff compliance
  • Foster teamwork, mutual trust, and cooperation among staff
  • Liaise with local law enforcement and emergency services
  • Provide timely updates to executives and peers
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and maintain high professional standards
