Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in communications
- experience in conference and event planning, program coordination, marketing communications support
- three years of event management experience including planning large events with attendance over 200
- excellent communication skills
- strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple complex projects
- proficiency with event-management platforms, marketing tools, and MS Office/Google Suite
- willingness to travel frequently
- ability to supervise and mentor student workers and temporary staff
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in communications
- degree in marketing, public relations, event management, or related field
- at least three years of event management experience
- experience with conference and event planning, program coordination, and marketing communications support
- strong communication and organizational skills
- proficiency with event-management platforms, marketing tools, and MS Office/Google Suite
Job Duties
- Independently lead the design and execution of high-impact programs
- drive the development and implementation of the annual event calendar
- act as the main liaison for all vendors and staff for IAC events
- define clear objectives for each event and facilitate cross-functional meetings
- ensure allowable costs by distinguishing between grant-funded and state-funded expenditures
- act as the lead strategist and executor for promotional activities
- establish and maintain partnerships with high-level external partners and coordinate VIP travel
- develop new partnerships and opportunities within the community
- collaborate to ensure cohesive and strategic alignment of branding guidelines
- frequently travel to support and oversee IAC events
- establish and maintain budgets for assigned events
- manage procurement processes and vendor relationships
- manage contacts, MOUs/MOAs, and required approvals
- utilize event-management and marketing platforms to coordinate registration and reporting
- partner with Marketing & Communications to create digital strategies and analytics reporting
- identify objectives and key metrics for event success
- analyze data-driven results to improve future programs
- prepare comprehensive reports for leadership
- provide directions on event logistics and communication tasks
- supervise and mentor student workers and temporary staff fostering a collaborative team culture
