Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • three plus years experience in housekeeping within an upscale hotel
  • basic computational ability
  • intermediate skills with Microsoft Office products including Word Excel PowerPoint and Outlook Opera preferred
  • good verbal and written communication skills
  • budgetary analysis capabilities
  • knowledge of housekeeping service techniques and cost controls

Job Qualifications

  • three plus years’ experience in housekeeping within an upscale hotel
  • basic computational ability required
  • must have intermediate skills with Microsoft Office products Word Excel PowerPoint and Outlook Opera preferred

  • budgetary analysis capabilities required
  • knowledge of housekeeping service techniques and cost controls such as manpower productivity and other expenses needed

Job Duties

  • Focusing on the long term vision and direction of the department including implementing improvements and projects
  • conducting regular inspections of the hotel to ensure adherence to cleanliness and maintenance standards
  • coordinating department activities with other departments to facilitate increased communication and guest satisfaction
  • ensuring that all equipment is maintained and used accordingly
  • following up to ensure all maintenance requests pertaining to guest rooms and departmental equipment are handled efficiently
  • assisting with the overall financial performance including budgeting forecasting and financial planning of the department
  • monitoring consumption and ordering replacement of guest and cleaning supplies and reporting discrepancies
