Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and two years experience in event and facility operations
- significant evening and weekend hours
- willingness to work beyond a 40-hour week schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- demonstrated organizational ability and strict attention to detail
- knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations as it applies to events, donors, student-athletes, and venues
- excellent written, oral and interpersonal skills
- understanding of protocol and etiquette and the ability to employ tact in difficult situations
- demonstrated capability to work closely with diverse teams of people to accomplish complex tasks and initiative on schedule and on budget
- excellent computer skills including ability to use PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, desktop publishing programs and databases
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- two years of experience in event and facility operations
- demonstrated organizational ability and strict attention to detail

- excellent computer skills including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, desktop publishing, and databases
- experience in event planning and managing game day events (preferred)
- experience managing student staff (preferred)
- experience in athletic event operations for college or professional teams (preferred)
- experience operating or ability to learn to operate a forklift (preferred)
Job Duties
- Oversee creation, implementation, and execution of assigned athletic department events
- responsible for successful hosting and game day operations for assigned Athletic Department home games and events
- manage event planning and execution for assigned external events held within the CU Events Center
- assist in managing all duties for assigned intercollegiate, campus, and special events including setup, on-site assistance, and breakdown
- coordinate with Athletic Department units, conference officials, and external partners for event logistics
- work with Ralphie’s Green Stampede and Campus to reduce waste for daily and event operations
- hire, train, manage, and mentor student employees
- schedule and supervise students during events to assist and complete tasks
- track, manage student payroll budget and payroll submission
- implement and integrate Event Management Systems for facility scheduling
- update policies related to facility scheduling
- assist with facility and event scheduling for athletic facilities
- track contracts and payments for facility rentals and staffing
- maintain and distribute facilities activity calendar
- approve or deny facility rentals
- arrange technical requirements for events
- identify and schedule facility maintenance
- coordinate facility improvement projects with vendors and contractors
- conduct daily facility reviews for upcoming events
- respond to emergencies or urgent issues relating to athletic programs and events
- perform other duties as assigned
