Job Requirements

  • graduation from an accredited four year college or university with a major in dietetics, food and nutrition, food service management, nutrition education or a related field
  • three years of full-time experience in institutional or commercial food service management
  • valid and current food safety certification (servsafe) from a nationally recognized food safety program
  • updated resume
  • letter of introduction (cover letter)
  • three letters of recommendation, including one from a current or previous supervisor

Job Qualifications

  • graduation from an accredited four year college or university with a major in dietetics, food and nutrition, food service management, nutrition education or a related field
  • graduate or additional courses in business, public administration, nutrition or related field is desirable
  • three years of full-time experience in institutional or commercial food service management
  • management experience in directing or assisting in directing a large scale food service program in a school district is desirable
  • a dietician license may substitute one year of the required experience

Job Duties

  • assist in planning, organizing, directing and reviewing a comprehensive food service program on a district-wide basis
  • contribute to the development of a nutritional program to meet national school lunch requirements
  • ensure program compliance with federal, state, county and district requirements
  • counsel, train and evaluate performance of subordinates
  • work with administrator, supervisors and coordinators regarding personnel activities and implementation of operational processes
