Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in hospitality, restaurant management or equivalent preferred
- minimum 3 years' experience in relevant food and beverage leadership role
- level 1 certification of Court of Master Sommelier or equivalent
- food handler and alcohol awareness certification if applicable
- proven expertise in budgeting, expense and inventory management
- experience with payroll and labor costing
- skilled in staffing and marketing
- ability to maintain integrity and discretion in difficult situations
- independent judgement skills
- systems knowledge including Avero, Aloha, Micros, ADP, eTime
- proficiency in Microsoft Office
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in hospitality, restaurant management or equivalent field preferred
- minimum 3 years' experience as a restaurant assistant general manager or assistant director of food and beverage
- level 1 certification of Court of Master Sommelier or equivalent experience
- food handler and alcohol awareness certification if applicable
- excellent skills in budgeting, expense management, inventory, payroll, labor costing, staffing, marketing, owner relations, and profit and loss management
- ability to diplomatically handle difficult situations and people with integrity
- ability to interpret a variety of instructions and exercise independent judgement
- proven knowledge and experience with Avero, Aloha, Micros, ADP, eTime or combination thereof
- strong computer skills including Microsoft Office suite
Job Duties
- Attend property meetings
- develop and lead managers within food and beverage
- understand the property's sales and public relations strategies
- assist chefs on menu engineering such as seasonal specials
- assist with training and communication to all staff
- lead and coordinate planning and execution of special events on and off property
- ensure all staff have completed required trainings and certifications
- assist the Director of Food and Beverage with projects
- interview, hire, and train employees
- plan, assign, and direct work
- appraise performance
- reward and coach employees
- address complaints and resolve issues
- work with the restaurant, in-room dining, bar, and banquet teams
