Job Requirements
- Long hours sometimes required
- Medium work capacity involving lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally and/or 20 pounds frequently or constantly
- Attend all hotel required meetings and training
- Participate in manager-on-duty coverage as required

Job Qualifications
- At least 5 years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field
- or a 4-year college degree and at least 2 years of related experience
- or a 2-year college degree and 3 or more years of related experience
- Proficient in Windows and company-approved spreadsheets and word processing
- Knowledge of food and beverage preparation techniques, health department rules, liquor laws and regulations
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to listen, understand, and clarify concerns of employees and guests
- Ability to multitask and prioritize to meet deadlines
- Attentive, friendly, courteous, and service-oriented manner
- Ability to handle problems anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving issues
- Ability to understand and evaluate complex information from various sources
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of information
Job Duties
- Be attentive, friendly, helpful, and courteous to guests, managers, and employees
- Assist in supervising all food and beverage personnel
- Respond to guest complaints promptly
- Assist in preparing the F&B budget and monitor department performance including forecasting
- Monitor industry trends and take action to maintain competitive and profitable operations
- Work collaboratively with other F&B managers and keep them informed of ongoing issues
- Keep immediate supervisor informed of problems or matters requiring attention
- Assist in coordinating and monitoring all phases of loss prevention in the F&B department
- Prepare and submit required reports on time
- Organize and conduct regular department meetings
- Monitor quality of service and product
- Cooperate in menu planning and preparation
- Ensure timely purchases within budget allocation
- Oversee employee cafeteria operations
- Ensure compliance with liquor laws, health and sanitation regulations
- Ensure departmental compliance with standard operating procedures
- Train department heads on SOPs, report preparation, and technical tasks
- Attend and conduct departmental and hotel training sessions
- Interview candidates for front-of-house positions and adhere to hiring standards
- Ensure overall guest satisfaction
