Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in financial management or similar role
  • Experience within a hotel or hospitality environment preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Proficiency with financial management systems and software

  • Proficiency in accounting software and financial reporting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage and develop team members effectively
  • Knowledge of federal and state tax regulations

Job Duties

  • Manage the finance department including overseeing special projects and team member performance
  • Directly oversee accounts receivable, credit, and night audit functions
  • Prepare budgets and maintain spending controls to ensure budgetary limits are met
  • Prepare annual depreciation schedules for furniture, equipment, and building supplies
  • Review and approve all ledger account reconciliations including bank statements, assets, liabilities, and credit cards
  • Coordinate and review monthly financial statements for accuracy and monitor coding of cash receipts
  • Assist the Director with internal daily audits of cash deposits, transfers, and capital budget monitoring
  • Prepare financial reports, oversee utilities and telephone accruals, maintain records of inventory, and ensure compliance with billing and credit standards
  • Review and approve tax returns to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations
  • Monitor, approve, and prepare daily payroll accounts and issue paychecks
