Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years experience in financial management or similar role
- Experience within a hotel or hospitality environment preferred
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Proficiency with financial management systems and software

Job Duties
- Manage the finance department including overseeing special projects and team member performance
- Directly oversee accounts receivable, credit, and night audit functions
- Prepare budgets and maintain spending controls to ensure budgetary limits are met
- Prepare annual depreciation schedules for furniture, equipment, and building supplies
- Review and approve all ledger account reconciliations including bank statements, assets, liabilities, and credit cards
- Coordinate and review monthly financial statements for accuracy and monitor coding of cash receipts
- Assist the Director with internal daily audits of cash deposits, transfers, and capital budget monitoring
- Prepare financial reports, oversee utilities and telephone accruals, maintain records of inventory, and ensure compliance with billing and credit standards
- Review and approve tax returns to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations
- Monitor, approve, and prepare daily payroll accounts and issue paychecks
