Job Requirements

Job Duties

  • Act as the Assistant Chief Business Officer to senior management
  • evaluate financial impact on business decisions
  • notify management of financial deviations and control weaknesses
  • manage and communicate preparation of deposits
  • monitor hotel revenues and expenses according to established guidelines
  • investigate variances to budget and prior year and offer improvement strategies
  • assist in monitoring capital planning and return on improvements
  • ensure compliance with regulatory licenses, leases, contracts, and operational taxes
  • coordinate forecasts and budgets with management participation
  • analyze financial data to advise management
  • reconcile balance sheet accounts timely
  • audit internal financial controls including purchasing, cash handling, payroll, and employee records
  • recruit, train, supervise, and develop finance staff
  • maintain compliance with company standards for safe operation
  • oversee IT systems maintenance and upgrades
  • prepare financial reports according to company requirements
  • review and submit daily revenue reports
  • ensure timely deposit of cash and credit cards
  • review labor reports for variance
  • ensure AP process compliance
  • review departmental budgets weekly
  • distribute and discuss G/L reports
  • update management on financial issues
  • ensure sufficient cash for obligations
  • reconcile monthly balance sheets
  • conduct monthly inventory audits
  • participate in budget preparation
  • complete internal control questionnaires bi-annually
  • conduct surprise payroll audits
  • attend financial meetings and maintain favorable working relationships
  • comply with attendance and grooming standards
  • participate in management on duty coverage
  • attend required meetings and trainings
  • perform duties as requested by management
