Job Requirements
- b.s. in accounting
- one year experience in hotel or hospitality related finance and accounting
- knowledge of hotel financial statements and reconciliation of asset and liability accounts
- analytical approach to problems with high regard for detail and accuracy
- sound administrative and managerial skills
- proficiency in microsoft office with advanced excel skills
- proficient training, coaching, and counseling abilities
- effective verbal and written communication skills
- ability to adapt communication style to different audiences

Job Duties
- perform all accounting functions if assistance is needed
- schedule, monitor, and evaluate departmental expenditures to stay within budget
- establish and monitor scheduling of accounting associates including night audit
- schedule personnel consistent with business volume and needs
- plan effectively to meet demands of guests and staff
- produce financial statements within designated time frames
- verify compliance with finance SOP manual
- participate in and critique asset inventories
- maintain records storage compliant with government retention requirements
- prepare and manage sales tax returns and applicable tax liabilities
- manage accounts receivable functions including collection calls
- ensure AR aging percentages comply with SOP
- verify credit card processing nightly
- verify timely cash deposits
- assist with balance sheet account reconciliation
- review problem accounts and adjust general ledger entries
- identify, screen, and attract management candidates
- train associates in job responsibilities
- comply with attendance rules
- perform other job-related duties as assigned
