Job Requirements
- diploma or degree in civil engineering, mechanics, electrical or electronics
- minimum 3 years experience in a hotel, resort or building management with similar facilities as assistant director of engineering or engineering manager
- availability to work with flexibility of schedule and rotation of shifts
- proven knowledge of typical building critical equipment such as chillers, boilers, HVAC and general MEP
- managing respective PM scheduling through direct reports and contracted labor
- experience in labor management and financial management
- experience with work order management and inventory management
- experience in managing or assisting in major renovation projects preferred
- high communication, organizational, problem solving, adaptability, delegation and strategic thinking skills
- basic computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet, Windows
- experience with computer-assisted maintenance management systems such as MP System, BMS, Autocad
- ability to sit, stand and walk for extended periods, bend, climb stairs and lift up to 50 lbs
- fluency in English spoken and written, Spanish is a plus

Job Duties
- oversee daily engineering operations to ensure the smooth function of hotel facilities
- manage maintenance schedules and preventative maintenance programs for critical equipment
- supervise and coordinate engineering staff, including direct reports and contracted labor
- monitor financial aspects of engineering operations, including budgeting and cost control
- ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards for building systems
- assist or manage major renovation projects involving critical equipment and public spaces
- utilize computer-assisted maintenance management systems to track work orders, inventory, and equipment status
